USC grads make top 10 in Bar Exams
TWO graduates of the University of San Carlos law school made the top 10 of the bar exams. Rival questions Salimbangon’s net worth
Bogo City Mayor Celestino Martinez Jr. said the huge increase in the net worth of Cebu 4th district Rep. Benhur Salimbangon is questionable. Martinez said Salimbangon only had P3.4 million in 1991 but declared a net worth of P49.2 million in 2014.
Salimbangon said when he left politics in 1991, he focused on their family-owned real estate business and denied any wrongdoing.
This huge increase in his wealth requires an explanation, and as a public officer, he is under legal and moral obligation to explain how he was ble to amass such huge wealth while most of his constituents in the fourth district of Cebu plunged into a mere hand-to-mouth existence since he entered office as congressman. Celestino Martinez Jr.
I don’t think I need to explain what my business is. Everything is legitimate. What’s important is that I did not lie in my SALN. I divulged everything. How about Martinez? Rep. Benhur Salimbangon.

JVR ally arrested for illegal recruitment
A candidate for Talisay City council under the banner of Mayor Johnny Delos Reyes was arrested for illegal recruitment. Police arrested Ma. Ludina Cania Ceniza for large-scale illegal recruitment, a non-bailable offense, after their rally in San Isidro Talisay.
It’s very suspicious. That warrant has been dormant, why is it being revived now that the elections are close? Mayor Johnny delos Reyes.
