ACI Plus, the maintenance services business segment of Aboitiz Construction, marked its second anniversary of providing maintenance support to Therma Mobile Inc. (TMO) in Navotas City. Throughout this partnership, it has consistently delivered skilled human resources, equipment, and materials while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Started in June 2024, the three-year project aims to provide operational and structural support to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the diesel power plant in Navotas.

Over the past two years, ACI Plus has done timely preventive and corrective measures by completing regular toolbox meetings, hazard identification, scheduled maintenance works, equipment inspections, and material repairs.  These efforts align with their utmost compliance with the health, safety, and environmental standards.

To sustain the quality of work delivered by the team, ACI Plus continuously conducts capacity-building programs for the project’s over 70 team members across the operations, maintenance, structural, safety, and administrative departments, ensuring holistic development and fostering collaboration across all functions.

This success has strengthened ACI Plus’ partnership with TMO Navotas. Aldrin Causapin, TMO Facility Manager, highlighted ACI Plus’s strong commitment as a project partner. “The team consistently demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and workmanship that met the standards. With deliverables completed on schedule, their proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to evolving requirements greatly contributed to the team’s success, establishing ACI as a reliable and valued partner for future collaborations,” he said.

Reaching the second year of this project is a great feat for our company. As we continue with the project, ACI Plus remains true to its mission in meeting the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency through our maintenance support to TMO Navotas,” said Sebastian Aboitiz, Chief Operating Officer of ACI Plus.

TMO makes up four floating power barges at the Navotas Fishport Complex in Navotas City. The oil-fired barges have a combined capacity of 242 MW. TMO’s operational flexibility for fast plant start-ups presents the ideal response to the immediate or emergency needs of Luzon.

With safety at the core of every project it undertakes, Aboitiz Construction continues to demonstrate what it means to be “Engineered for Excellence,” strengthening its position as a trusted partner in the country’s maintenance and energy support sectors while creating employment opportunities for its host communities.
