Cebu Caritas, Inc., the social development and charitable arm of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu, unveiled its new logo today.

It is inspired by the colorful and vibrant Sinulog festival, a traditional celebration in Cebu that tells the story of the Filipinos’ past and their acceptance of Christianity. The feathers follow the form of the Caritas’ mother logo, individually colored with red, yellow, and blue.

The colors hold their own meaning as well. Red represents the Holy Child Jesus, Yellow represents the ecclesiastical color of the Archdiocese of Cebu, and Blue represents our Marian devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In line with the organization’s vision, the logo encapsulates the message that a society guided by the Gospel values of Justice, Peace, Love, and Integrity of Creation becomes colorful and self-thriving as well.

Along with the launch of the logo is the relaunching of Cebu Caritas Inc.’s official Facebook page and the debut of its official Instagram and Twitter accounts. CCI will now regularly share their programs and activities through these different social media platforms.
