On its 10th anniversary under a challenging pandemic year, Duros Land Properties reflects on the lessons of the past and envisions a future that will see a combination of high-end residences and leisure facilities for its vast landholdings in fast-growing Liloan.
Duros Group Chairman of the Board Rafaelito Barino said the best comparison for what the company plans to achieve within the next 10 years will be Macau.
“In Macau, you can ride any bus and be transported to any hotel, destination for free. We want to duplicate that but it will not really be identical,” he added. The company’s vision jibes with its new outlook of “Shaping vibrant cities of the future.”
Duros Land, which is a subsidiary of the Duros Group of Companies, has completed a vertical residential project and is on track to finish another one while preparing to open three more premium developments in the town’s highland barangays. It also topped off early this year the first of several high-rise buildings in northern Metro Cebu.
Ideal community
Barino said they plan to add more leisure facilities to the central amenity for Duros Land’s premium developments that is the world-class par 72 18-hole course Liloan Golf. With only three holes left, the goal is to finish the golf course by December 2021. While waiting for the course, athletes can pass the time through items like those golf mats. They may also consider using this golf putting mat.
Duros Land is a homegrown company founded by Barino and his wife Fe in Cebu’s town of Liloan, which is now on the verge of becoming a city.
It intends to create ideal communities with world-class amenities incorporating the lessons of the pandemic for more open spaces and nature breaks, offering residents a home to live, work, play, and grow and providing visitors a much-needed respite from the daily grind.
Its premium residences and leisure facilities will be linked by a fully concreted provincial standard road with an electric shuttle service that will ply the route from a terminal hub right by the North Road entrance in Barangay Yati all the way to Barangay San Roque, passing through Barangays San Vicente, Sta. Cruz, and Lataban. This will serve residents of the subdivision projects of Duros Land.
Residential projects
Soon to launch within the company’s Yati enclave is Woodlands Prime, a premium addition to the Woodland Park Residences offering a limited number of single-detached houses within a wooded locale.
Within the same neighborhood is the high-rise One Tectona, which will house residential units, a 101-room four-star hotel set to open in mid 2022, and a business center with office spaces for small- to medium-sized enterprises. It will feature an international restaurant, coffee shop, swimming pool, game room, meditation garden, and sports bar, among many other amenities.
Another ongoing development located a few minutes away in Barangay Sta. Cruz is Bay-Ang Ridge, a mid-range residential subdivision with its own set of amenities and commercial components.
Other upcoming residential developments include Golfers Village in Barangay San Roque and Lataban Estates in Barangay Lataban. The Golfers Village is a residential subdivision that surrounds the golf course and caters to golfing enthusiasts while Lataban Estates is 80 hectares of master planned and fully integrated lot only development with a dedicated bike lane and jogging path integrated in its road network.
Among Lataban’s stunning and unique amenities are a Sakura Park, Orchard Forest, Fishing Lagoon, Clubhouse and Swimming Pool, Viewing Deck and Prayer Pavilion, pocket parks, exercise area, and many others.
