As the ultimate off-road truck, the Ford Ranger Raptor was designed from the ground up for performance and power.

The Ranger chassis uses high-strength and low-alloy steel optimized for off-road performance. It has a thick high-strength underbody bash plate to absorb impact from off-road drives. Ford says the Ranger Raptor is “built to be punished” with an ultra-durable frame designed “to handle punishing surface drop-offs.”

The Ranger Raptor was built tough for all terrain and designed “to make light work of the most epic river crossings.”

It is the ultimate performance truck, built and engineered for off-road driving.

The truck has a Terrain Management System with six pre-set driving modes to navigate any driving condition:

Baja Mode. This is optimized for high-speed desert running and named after the Baja 1000 Desert Race. The Baja Mode dials down traction, improves responsiveness and shifting speed.

Sport Mode. This offers faster throttle response and shifting for improved acceleration. In this mode, steering also feels sportier.

Grass/Gravel/Snow Mode. This mode is for driving on slippery surfaces. It lowers throttle response and optimizes shifting by engaging the Ranger Raptor’s 4 High and e-Locking Rear Differential.

Mud/Sand Mode. This engages the 4 High, e-locking Differential and power steering to keep the Ranger Raptor’s wheels firmly on the ground.

Rock Mode. This mode optimizes throttle and transmission response for additional control over rocky surfaces.

Normal Mode. This is for regular on-road driving.

The Ranger Raptor cockpit is also designed well for performance and for keeping you “in the zone.”

The truck has body-contoured front sports seats with unique Raptor head rests, bolsters, and suede rests for better body grip, especially when driving off-road.

It has a perforated leather hand grip on the steering wheel for better control. A red centering strip at the top of the wheel helps you monitor tire direction when drifting and cornering.

The seatbacks, steering wheel, soft top instrument panel, leather wrapped shifter, and floor mats contain unique Raptor stitching.

The Ranger Raptor also has a voice-controlled SYNC 3 system that keeps you connected, entertained, and on track. Through voice commands, you can make calls and play music without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

The Ranger Raptor also has Sat Nav that helps you find your way around and home through voice commands, even how far off-road you go.

The truck’s 8-inch touchscreen supports smartphone-like functionality such as swipe and pinch-to-zoom.

The Ranger Raptor also has Ford AppLink, which enables the easy launch and voice control of supported apps. It loads them into the organized apps section that automatically loads SYNC-enabled apps from a paired and connected phone.

The Ford Ranger Raptor is available in Arctic White, Absolute Black, Conquer Gray, Performance Blue, and True Red.
